“Världens bästa garderob”, Swedbank Arena, Örnsköldsvik. Nov 23 2007. KOJA created a digital collage of different clothes, backgrounds, haircuts, shoes sweathers and so on. The collage was projected on a fond. People could choose how they wanted to look and then be photographed. Afterwords they got to see how the photo looked like and we emailed them the picture. The workshop is a ongoing project.

Länsmuseet Härnösand, 1/4 2007. KOJA created a digital collage of different clothes, backgrounds, haircuts, shoes sweathers and so on. The collage was projected on a fond. People could choose how they wanted to look and then be photographed. Afterwords they got to see how the photo looked like and we emailed them the picture. We also put together all the photographs and made a poster.

The purpose of the workshop was to visualise our process in making art, and to intergrate the visitors at the museum in this visualisation. We wanted to create a discussion on how to make art and what art can be, and we wanted this discussion to be based on something that was actually taking place, that was not just theoretical. Something simple and funny, something that was playig with the borders of reality and imagination. KOJA has plans to bring this workshop to other places aswell.

Modest Mussorgskys “Pictures at an exhibition” Norrlandsoperan, Umeå, Concert + Exhibition 7/9 -06

KOJA participated in a exhibition that was a collaboration between Norrlandsoperan in Umeå and 12 students at the Academy of Fine Arts in Umeå.

Modest Mussorgsky got the impulse to “Pictures at an Exhibition” (1987) after having seen an exhibition with gouaches and drawings by Victor Hartmann. Every different piece in the composition corresponds with a certain picture by Hartmann. The students were asked to make new artworks to the composition, inspired either by the music,the original work by Hartmann or a combination.

Highest Point On Heaven, Video/Installation, 2006

“Highest point on heaven” is a installation were a film is projected in a room similar to the one it was shot in. A room were walls, floor and ceiling is made out of white sheets.

You find yourself in a space, a space that you seem to share with the two persons who are projected on the white cloth in front of you. There is no communication between you and them. You don´t seem to share the same reality. There is sound, it surrounds you. It seems as if it wants to tell you that there are other things existing in this space, other then thoose you can see (is the sound of a girl breathing yours or is it coming from the space itself?)
